I think we all know that parking in big cities is a problem that will get progressively worse. If we continue to pack people in cities that have less than a square mile, there's only so much space where one can park your car. As someone who had trouble parking in the big city, there must be a solution.
In the movie I, Robot, a future where the car park is shown in front of a huge building, and a giant robotic arm grabs the car to store them away like bees in a hive. This Tower of special design, Porsche takes this idea, but stores the cars horizontally.
Imagine being able to drive to his condominium multi-level, and then put your car in a robotic elevator. You will be taken both vertically and horizontally to the designated location, which is very close to your door.
By the way, this technology already exists. That image you see is not a mock-up of Porsche Design Tower, but the Volkswagen Autostadt, a 20-story robotic parking garage in Wolfsberg, Germany.
This condominium will cost 560 million dollars to build, and has 57 floors. There will be 132 units, and some have up to four spaces per unit. I imagine I would have to be super rich to live in the car 4-1, and I wonder if you have a Porsche is a requirement for a tenant in this condominium.
